Recording audio from Websites, Apps, and Games
NowSmart Audio Recorder is capable of capturing any audio played through your speakers or headphones, regardless of whether it's from web pages, other applications, or games.
Step 1: Select the Correct Audio Source
Device names vary by manufacturer, so sound cards may be labeled differently.
Speakers or Stereo Mix or What U Hear are common choices for recording audio played on your computer.
Step 2: Name Your Audio File (Optional)
Click the Add/New button to select an audio file or to name a new one, like test.mp3, test.wav, or test.flac.
NowSmart Audio Recorder will save the recorded sounds directly to this file. You can play back the recorded audio with any media player software on your computer.
Step 3: Begin Recording
Press the Record button to start.
Adjust the recording volume as needed.
Step 4: Eliminate Background Sounds from Other Apps
Right click on the speaker icon in the system tray, select Open volume mixer, and mute any unwanted sound sources to ensure a clean recording.
